Reoccurring events - February 2017

Each week I normally publish 2 posts - Mondays will be articles and reviews. Thursdays will be a "What's Going On" feature, in which I highlight upcoming events and ticket deadlines. 

Also, once per month I will also be posting a list of events that occur every week.

Thursday

6:00AM - Every Tuesday and Thursday at 6AM (and Saturdays at 6:30AM)  you can attend a competitive adult swim practice with Nickel City Splash at UB's pool. All levels of swimmer are welcome, first couple of weeks are free.

11:30AM - Every Thursday afternoon you can lap-swim at Cazenovia pool

2:30PM - Riverside Ice Rink has an open skate every Thursday afternoon. 

3PM - After lap swimming, Cazenovia pool has open swim until 7PM. 

3:30PM - Cazenovia ice rink has an open skate every Thursday evening. 

4:30PM - Every Thursday evening you can take a gentle yoga class at Shakti Yoga

6PM - Every week on Thursday, Shakti will be holding a Vinyasa by Donation class.  

6:30PM - Following the donation-based class, Shakti holds a Slow Vinyasa class.

6:30PM - Weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, Devi Bollywood will be holding their mixed-level Bollywood Dance class at 6:30PM, and a Thursday night Bollywood/Bhangra Cardio Blast class at 7:45PM.

7PM - Weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, you can take a Hatha Yoga class at the Buffalo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy - all levels welcome, $10/class.

7PM - Head to Blu Nightclub for weekly Latin Dance nights. 

7:30PM - Every Thursday you can check out a Booty Work class at 7:30, and a Club Dance Aerobics class at 8:30 taught by instructors from Musicality Central at Future Dance Center in Hamburg. $10/class.

7:30PM - Be Healthy Institute in Hamburg will be offering a weekly candlelit gentle yoga class taught by Holly Maloney on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($15/class walkin, discount rate if multiple classes are purchased).

Friday

10AM - Every Friday morning is an aerial yoga class with Aerial Dance Buffalo at the ALT Theatre in Buffalo. Drop in price is $18. For more information click here. Preregistration is recommended as these classes fill fast.

11:30AM - Lovejoy pool holds a lap swim every Friday morning, and so does Cazenovia pool. 

12PM - Shakti holds a weekly Vinyasa by donation class in the afternoons. 

2:30PM - Every Friday afternoon, both Cazenovia and Riverside Ice Rinks hold open skate. 

3PM - After lap swim, both Cazenovia and Lovejoy pools hold open swim until 7PM. 

6PM - In the evening, Shakti yoga holds a Vinyasa yoga class.

7PM - Weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, you can take a Hatha Yoga class at the Buffalo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy - all levels welcome, $10/class.

Saturday

1PM - Lovejoy and Caz Pools both have open swim every Saturday afternoon. 

2PM - Weekly donation-based Power Yoga of Buffalo - "Karma" class.

7PM - Cazenovia ice rink holds open skate every Saturday evening until 8:30PM. 

9:30PM - Every Saturday Pasion Buffalo holds a Noche de Pasion with dance lessons and open dance until 2:30AM.

Sunday 

11AM - Every Sunday Caz pool holds open swim at 11AM.

11:30AM and 4PM - Shakti Yoga holds a weekly gentle yoga class at 11:30AM, and a led vinyasa yoga class at 4PM.

2PM - Caz and Riverside ice rinks both hold an open skate on Sunday afternoons.

Monday

5:30AM - Start every week with Monday morning PiYo with Marcia and Longboards, held at the Lake Erie Seaway Trail facility (indoors). Make sure to register, because this class fills up.

6:50AM - Revolution Indoor Cycling is now holding a weekly TRX Yoga class. 

11:30AM - Lovejoy holds a weekly lap swim.

12:00PM - Shakti Yoga will hold a weekly afternoon Vinyasa by Donation yoga class.

2:30PM and 3PM - Caz (2:30) and Riverside (3) rinks host open skating. 

3PM - After lap swim, Lovejoy pool holds open swim. 

5:15PM - Interested in taking a ladies only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class? Buffalo United Martial Arts Academy at Riverworks holds one every Monday night, and the first few classes are free! Bring a friend!

6:00PM - Shakti yoga holds a weekly slow Vinyasa Yoga class.

12:30PM - Attend the Contemporary Dance Series at Wasteland Studio every

12:30PM - Every week Wasteland Studio in Buffalo offers an adult contemporary dance class (each week with a different guest instructor and style of dance). $16 regular rate. 

2:30PM and 3:30PM - Riverside (2:30) and Caz (3:30) ice rinks will be holding open skate. 

3PM - Caz pool has open swim every Tuesday. 

4:30PM - Shakti yoga offers a weekly gentle yoga class, followed by vinyasa by donation at 6, and slow vinyasa at 6:30.

6:15PM - Join an adult/teen advanced-beginner ballet class at The Porter Center in Buffalo (call for more information - website is under construction as of 12/29/16). 

7PM - Harlem Road Community Center will be offering a fitness program for the new year (until March) called Blizzard Bod ($45/person for 8 sessions).

7PM - Every Tuesday you can take a Hatha Yoga class at the Buffalo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy.

7PM - As the weather gets cooler, AcroYoga Buffalo's AcroJams will be moving indoors to the SolRise Farm and Cultural Arts Center in Buffalo.

7:30PM - Shakti yoga will be offering a weekly dance class with live drumming. 

7:30PM - Be Healthy Institute in Hamburg will be offering a weekly candlelit gentle yoga class taught by Holly Maloney on Tuesdays and Thursdays ($15/class walkin, discount rate if multiple classes are purchased). 

7:30PM - Every week the Inisfree Dance Group will be offering a traditional Irish Set Dance class at the Buffalo Irish Center in South Buffalo (you'll probably see me there a few times!). Get ready for St. Patrick's Day by learning some actual Irish dances!

10/5 - Wednesday

9:30AM - Budding Tree Yoga is holding an 8-week session called Rise and Energize Yoga. 

11:30AM - Lovejoy will hold lap swimming. 

12PM - Shakti yoga holds a weekly afternoon vinyasa by donation class.

2:30PM - Caz and Riverside ice rinks hold weekly open skates. 

3PM - Following lap swim, Lovejoy holds open swim from 3 until 7PM. 

6PM - Try out a weekly Hip Hop for starters class at Musicality Central (at Studio 990) - $10/class, and there are more advanced classes available if you are so inclined.

6PM - Every week you can take a vinyasa yoga class at Shakti Yoga.

7PM - Grab a partner on Wednesday nights and head to Pucho Olivencia for a beginner dance lesson, followed by an evening of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, and Kizomba.
