What's Going On - Week of 3/9/17

Each week I normally publish 2 posts - Mondays will be articles and reviews. Thursdays will be a "What's Going On" feature, in which I highlight unique, one time upcoming events, and new re-occurring events.

 3/9 - Thursday

5:45PM - POCE is holding a booty-blast barre class at the Delevan Grider Community Center.

6PM - Verve Dance Studio will host an advanced hip hop drop-in class.

6PM - There will be a beginner tai chi class at the Community Health Center of Buffalo.

6PM - A winter run will start at 42 North Brewing Company.

6:30PM - If you can't make it to the 6PM tai chi, class Santosha will also be hosting a class called Vitamin Chi and Qui Gong.

7PM - Fleet Feet Sports will be hosting a Learn to Run and WalkFIT info session - for free.

7:30PM - East Meets West Yoga's latest Intro to Vinyasa Yoga 5-week class will begin.

3/10- Friday

5:25PM - If you have munchkins, bring them by Tonawanda Dance Arts for their 4-week Hopping to the Beat class.

5:30PM - The Sportsmen's Tavern will be holding their bi-monthly Western Swing Happy Hour.

6PM - Buffalo Battleground will be hosting an airsoft community day.

6:30PM - Stop by Tree of Life Yoga Studio for a PiYO Live class.

7PM - Rolly Pollies of East Amherst would love to have your 7-12 year old kids come for a Ninja Night.

3/11 - Saturday

8AM - Support the American Lung Association at the Fight For Air Climb at the Main Place Tower.

8AM - Get a team of 6 together for the Buffalo Snow Bowl flag football tournament.

9AM - Rising Sun Yoga is starting their 4-week Intro to Yoga class.

9:30AM - Studio 14 Circuit Training is opening up for a free Bootcamp Class.

10AM - Budding Tree Yoga will be holding both Saturday Kids Yoga and All Level Yoga classes every Saturday at 10AM through May 6th.

11AM - Discover Fitness will be holding an Open House.

1PM - Budding Tree Yoga will be holding an Ayurveda and Asana workshop.

1PM - Bring your kids to the open house at The Little Gym.

8:30PM - Spinners will be opening up for another Adults Only skate night.

3/12 - Sunday - DAY LIGHT SAVINGS TIME BEGINS

11AM - The Love Makes the World Go Round Zumbathon charity event will be taking place at the Tonawanda Castle.

12:30PM - Oasis Dance Center will be holding a Cha Cha workshop.

1PM - Dreamland will be holding another freeform Ecstatic Dance event.

2PM - NuStudio will be holding an open house for their yoga program.

7PM - Yoga Parkside will be celebrating the Full Moon.

3/13 - Monday

9:30AM - An 8-week Chair Yoga class will be running on Mondays at Budding Tree Yoga.

5:30PM - OWM Yoga will be holding Yoga for Scoliosis and Body Centered Awareness.

6PM - Join Campus Wheelworks for Monday Night Miles running.

3/14 - Tuesday - Pi Day! Hug a mathematician today!

9:30AM - Budding Tree Yoga will be starting their Beginner Yoga class which will run Tuesdays through May 2nd.

6PM - They will also be holding an evening Yoga for Stress Relief class on Tuesdays through May 2nd.

6PM - Fleet Feet Sports will be holding a Pi Day walk/run.

6:15PM - Swing Buffalo will be having a St. Patrick's Day dance with live music (I don't think it's Irish dance though...). At 6:15 they'll be doing Dips, Tricks, and Fancy Feet, at7PM they will be working on Lindy Hop Moves, and at 7:45 they'll start beginner swing. Live music from 8-11.

3/15 - Wednesday


9:30AM - Budding Tree will be starting their Rise and Energize Wednesday morning class, running through May 3rd.
6PM - They will also have a Wednesday evening Slow Flow class, also running through 5/3.

6:30PM - If you're into bikes, you have two options - kick off the 2017 season with Tom's Pro Bike in Lancaster, or learn more about Bike Month at the Innovation Center in Buffalo. 

7:30PM - If indoor cycling is more your style, Independent Health Family YMCA is holding Cycle Live.
